In 1996, MSW was founded by Yousuf Mahomed and James Brown to provide warehousing and assembly services to customers in the automotive industry. It began as a concept, with no customers, and a 5,000 square foot warehouse located near Indianapolis, Indiana. Soon, that would change.

In 1997, with the effort of the owners and a single warehouse employee, MSW reached $300,000 in annual sales. Over the course of the coming years, the company’s reputation for quality service opened the doors to much larger opportunities. In 2001, MSW was awarded a three-year, $30 million contract with a Tier 2 automotive supplier. This opportunity gave the company critical mass to obtain a stronger financing network as well as the ability to more effectively market itself and become a leader in assembly and warehousing for the automotive and agricultural industries throughout the world.

During the next few years, management focused on sales growth, customer diversification and building its technology platform to further improve its market position and capabilities. This focus and investment spending resulted not only in increased sales and profitability, but also allowed for the development of a real time, feature rich, warehouse management and accounting system that allowed MSW the flexibility to meet ever changing customer requirements.

Today, the company is located in a 97,000 square foot warehouse in Indianapolis, just minutes away from an international transportation hub. MSW is currently supported by approximately 70 non-union employees, capable of working multiple shifts to meet customer needs.
